We host no user documents

The converters run inside the visitor's own browser. No document that anyone converts is uploaded to, stored on, or served from this site, so there is no user-uploaded library here for a notice to target. A complaint can only concern material we ourselves publish: page text, illustrations, or code.

What your notice must contain

To be actionable, a notice should include all of the following. Incomplete notices delay the process because we have to write back for the missing part.

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or a person authorised to act for them.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
3. The exact URL on this site where the material appears, precise enough for us to find it.
4. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on the owner's behalf.

How we respond

We aim to acknowledge a complete notice within five business days. Where a complaint is well founded, the material is removed or amended promptly and you are told what was done. Where it is not, we explain why rather than simply ignoring the message.

Counter notice

If material of yours was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, send a counter notice to the same address. Include your contact details, identify the removed material and where it appeared, and state under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed in error.

Knowingly making a false claim of infringement, in either direction, can carry liability for damages. Please be sure before you send.
