Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Docx to PDF does and does not collect when you use the converters on this site. The short version is that the documents you convert are processed by your own browser and are never sent to us.

What we collect and why

Your documents are not uploaded

Every converter on this site runs as JavaScript inside your browser. When you choose a file, it is read into your device's memory, converted there, and written back out as a download. The file is not transmitted to this site, is not written to any server, and is not retained after you clear the queue or close the tab.

Because the conversion never reaches us, we cannot read, copy, share or recover the contents of anything you convert. If you need a copy of a converted file later, save it at the time.

Information we do collect

The only information that reaches us is what any web server necessarily receives when a page is requested, plus anything you deliberately send us.

  • Request data — your IP address, browser type and version, the page requested and the time of the request. This is standard server log data used to keep the site available and to investigate abuse or faults.
  • Messages you send — if you email us, we receive whatever you put in that message and use it only to reply.
  • Analytics, if enabled — aggregate page view data. The current status of analytics on this site is listed in the disclosure table below.

Cookies and local storage

The site itself sets no tracking cookies. Your browser may keep a small amount of local storage for interface preferences such as your chosen colour theme. That value stays on your device and is never transmitted.

Third-party services, where enabled, may set their own cookies. Those services are named in the disclosure table below, and the Cookie Policy linked at the foot of this page describes each category in more detail.

Third-party services and advertising

We will not claim a service is absent when it is present, or vice versa. This table is the authoritative disclosure and is updated whenever the site changes.

None — the site charges nothing
File storage provider
None — files are not uploaded

If advertising is later enabled, this page will name the network before any ad is served, and the cookie policy will list the categories those ads use.

Server logs are processed on the basis of legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and available, and are retained for the period stated by the hosting provider. Messages you send by email are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to processing, or to receive a copy. Because the site holds almost no personal data, most requests can be answered immediately.

To exercise any of these rights, write to Not yet published.

Children

The site is a general-purpose document utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age at which consent is required in their country.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the effective date at the top of the page is updated. Material changes — a new analytics provider, or the introduction of advertising — are described in the disclosure table above rather than buried in the text.
