The agreement between us

What the service is

Docx to PDF provides free document converters that run inside your web browser. There is no account, no subscription and no fee. The service is offered as it stands, and we may add, change or withdraw a tool at any time.

Your files remain yours

You keep every right you already had in the documents you convert. Because conversion happens on your own device, we never receive a copy, and we therefore claim no licence over your content of any kind.

You are responsible for having the right to convert what you convert. Do not use the tools on material you are not permitted to copy or process.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the site to process material that is unlawful in your jurisdiction, or that you have no right to reproduce
  • attempt to interfere with the site, its hosting, or another visitor's use of it
  • copy the site's code, layout or written content and republish it as your own
  • misrepresent the site as being operated by, or affiliated with, Microsoft, Adobe or any other company
  • automate requests at a rate that degrades the service for others

No warranty

The converters are provided without warranty of any kind. Document conversion is an inherently lossy process: fonts substitute, unusual layouts shift, and some features of a source file have no equivalent in the target format. Always open and check a converted file before relying on it, and keep your original.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of data, loss of profit, missed deadlines or any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Intellectual property

The design, written content, illustrations and source code of this site belong to Not yet published. Microsoft Word, DOCX and PDF are the trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners, referred to here only to describe the file formats the tools read and write.

Where the site links to another website, that site is outside our control and has its own terms and privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The effective date at the top of the page always reflects the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
